Lockleys Hotel
Completed in 1997, the Lockleys Hotel project refurbished what was largely an untouched 1960s style large suburban hotel. The original 60s character of the hotel was successfully integrated into the various materials, motifs and colour finishes used throughout the development. The project included redesign of the facade, a new combined bistro - lounge - cafe space, as well as an adjacent sports bar and function space. The approach presented a dramatic , flexible and user-friendly outcome through the reuse of an existing building. [McDonald Coleman/Paul McDonald + Associates]
